Any recommendation made by metaculture, be it personal, political, economic, psychological, medical or ethical, should be based on the best scientific evidence available at the time.
Even scientific methodology and research methods themselves should be based on the best evidence of their effectiveness.
"To believe without evidence and demonstration is an act of ignorance and folly." -Socrates
Only the truth can unify us. No lie or unproven belief will ever gain universal acceptance, but truths with resounding evidence are undeniable. Eventually, the truth will win.
Best Practices by Discipline
These pages will outline the current best practices in each field of study, based on the Utilitarian assumption that our goal is to create the greatest amount of happiness and well-being in society. Money and longevity are only a means to achieving that ultimate good.
This is a work in progress, and this section will benefit the most from having contributions from subject matter experts.

A General Framework, Not a Narrow Path
There are many ways to achieve happiness. Having people that pursue a wide variety of perspectives, beliefs, rituals, religions, food, cultures, etc. is essential to maximizing the happiness for the whole population. Many of these traditions are very good, some are less so. Authoritarian traditions are pervasive in systems that developed before the advent of science or democracy. We have learned that there are better ways.
Can we provide a general, evidence-based framework for which beliefs and practices benefit our happiness and which ones should be relegated to history?
By doing this, metaculture can provide a common moral reference point for people of all cultures and religions, allowing the trust and in-group identity that shared belief systems provide, without erasing the beautiful diversity of human culture.
What is Evidence?
Knowing how evidence creates hypotheses that lead to theories that are "proven" is an important part of recognizing evidence-based best practices when you see them.
See the Critical Thinking page for more on how to evaluate evidence and arguments.
What Else Needs to Go Here?
Each of the disciplines listed above is an entire field of study unto itself. There is a nearly limitless amount of information that could be provided on each one. That is what regular wikipedia is for.
The goal is to distill each topic into the most important information needed to relate it to the fractal pattern of the metaculture metanarrative, and what will be most impactful on our life choices. It should make simple, straightforward recommendations that are supported by the preponderance of evidence and not just the latest clickbait study saying X is great for neuroplasticity and Y is the new way to lose weight fast.
It will generally assume at least a high school level education, and won't typically repeat material you should've learned in school. That's not to say that younger readers won't understand it, they may just need to follow more of the links. Age-appropriate videos will also be included when available.
Resources for education and activism should be provided for each subject, making it easy to go from theory to praxis.
Evidence of Funk
This evidence for universal funkiness is anecdotal, but it is undeniable.
"You see, the Funk is a living creature. It's 'bout the size of a medicine ball, but covered in teats. It came from another planet, and landed on Bootsy Collins's house." -Old Gregg
On the one is a best practice.
Tales from the Tour Bus is a hilarious behind the music interview show hosted by Mike Judge. Season One tells the story of outlaw country, but season two is all about that funk. Where to stream it
Parlaiment Funkadelic Live in Houston 1976 - Full Concert
